Bayahibe Diving

Bayahibe is a town located in the est of La Romana that was founded in 1874 by Juan Brito as a fishing village. In present it is a well-known tourist destination in Dominican Republic. The most common attraction in Bayahibe is scuba diving. This was the first location used for scuba diving in the Dominican Republic.

There are over 20 dive sites in the area of Bayahibe, including three shipwrecks: Atlantic Princess, St. George and Coco.

Diving in Bayahibe is a pleasant activity, due to the crystal clear, calm waters of the Caribbean Sea, so the area is perfect for all water sports: snorkeling, paddle boarding etc.
